Blue Flower

As of Sunday 16th Feb, 2014, we have commenced tweeting the status of the Air Quality Index for both the Morwell East and Traralgon EPA monitoring stations. These stations report hourly and may  not cover all the pollutants and quality issues. Manual monitoring is not included in these figures.

In Victoria there are five levels of quality with Very poor being the maximum level however other authorities have varying number of levels kicking in at different numbers.

Over February and March, IncidentAlert will tweet on @incidentAlert10 any previous hour that is rated Very poor and will tweet on @incident_Alert any figure 1000 and above (prev 300 until Wed 26th Feb) although this may alter depending on circumstances. We would be interested in your feedback on this.

If you are involved in the Health, early childhood or aged care sectors, we would be happy to discuss how to alert you directly.and if you require a json data feed let us know and we will build one for you.
